Since 2005 I have organised the golf
competitions on Lorna's Parador holidays. We spent a week in May in
Galicia in North West Spain, staying in the Paradores at Baiona and
Santiago and played golf at Ria de Vigo, a spectacular 18 hole course
overlooking the city and bay of Vigo

GOLF 2010
Our group in April stayed at the Parador
at AIGUABLAVA and played18 holes at PLATJA DE PALS. Congratulations
to Veronica O'Shea who won the competition and received wine from
Marques de Caceres and smoked salmon from the Connemara Smokehouse.
Another holiday to include golf is
planned for September, staying at the magnificent castle at
HONDARRIBIA and at the former Palace of Eguilior at LIMPIAS, giving
a chance to explore "Green Spain" and play golf at Real
Golf Club de San Sebastian and at either Real Golf de Pedre na
at Santander or at the Santa Marina course at San Vicente de la
Barquera or at Real Golf de Pedrens, near Santander.
On the 5-night holiday from 25th - 30th
September the group will stay for 3 nights at the Parador at
HONDARRIBIA and for 2 nights at the Parador at LIMPIAS.
Price per person sharing: 875 Euro +
flights for non golfers + 130 Euro for 2 "fun" golf
competitions (including green fees and buggies) The competitions
will again be organised by Con Cluskey and sponsored by Marques de
Caceres and the Connemara Smokehouse.

Golf Santa Marina
The 18-hole course, designed by
Seve Ballesteros, with its club house from the 17th century,
was optimally integrated into the landscape. The first 9
holes are more difficult than the second nine and demand a
good, long game. The second part of the course is rather
flat and has several water hazards.

the pro celebrity golf circuit and plays in many celebrity
charity events. For the energetic we can arrange an extra
competition at Golf du Biarritz in France.

Royal
San Sebastián Golf Club
This club
has an 18-hole course characterised by its hills and slopes
– it is set in an area surrounded by woodland, around a
watercourse with many ups and downs. It has beautiful views
of the mountains, and some water obstacles. It is not
especially long, but inexperienced players may have some
difficulties.

At PGA Catalonia, Emporda and Platja de Pals
whilst staying at the Paradores at Aiguablava and Cardona
At Montecastillo, Montenmedio, Baveira and
Malaga Golf in Andalucia
At El Saler, Oliva Nova and La Sella between
Valencia and Alicante. The Parador at El Saler has been completely
refurbished and the course is now in peak condition so we intend to
include both El Saler and Oliva Nova in a Parador golfing
holiday early in 2011.
Our golf competitions are sponsored by Marques
de Caceres bodegas in La Rioja and the Connemara Smokehouse, so prizes
of wine and smoked salmon are delivered to you so there are no heavy
prizes to carry home.

castles and its golf courses and with the Paradors network, both can be
